Cookies and browser storage
FlyMidway uses a small amount of first-party browser storage to keep requested meetup features working. Anonymous analytics and Travelpayouts Drive stay disabled until you allow their categories.
Your choice
Rejecting optional technologies does not disable flight search, voting, favorites, visa preferences, or explicit booking links. You can reopen Privacy settings at any time from the fixed control on the page.
Technology categories
Essential and requested features
The consent preference and storage needed for participant identity, organizer access, favorites, visa preferences, selected units, and interface hints are first-party technologies used only to provide requested features or remember your choices.
Anonymous analytics — optional
With your permission, cookie-free Vercel Web Analytics measures aggregate page views and product events. It may process the page path, referrer, approximate country, browser, device, and operating system; its daily visitor hash expires after 24 hours. FlyMidway does not include newsletter addresses, participant names, identity credentials, or recovery tokens. Speed Insights additionally processes the page URL and real-user performance metrics, including loading speed, responsiveness, and visual stability.
Affiliate recommendations — optional
With your permission, Travelpayouts Drive may adapt links on public content and use affiliate identifiers or similar technologies for attribution. Exact identifiers and lifetimes are controlled by Travelpayouts and its partners. FlyMidway's explicit partner booking links remain available when this category is rejected.
Storage currently used
- flymidway_consent_v1 — your privacy choice; 12 months after acceptance or 6 months after rejection.
- flymidway_participant_* — secure HttpOnly participant credential; up to 12 months, but invalidated earlier after identity takeover, leaving, or meetup deletion.
- flymidway_organizer_bootstrap_* — secure initial organizer credential in an HttpOnly cookie scoped to one meetup; up to 12 months. Organizer assignment, invalidation, or meetup deletion makes it unusable immediately; the browser clears it on the next related API response or at expiry.
- flymidway:v1:participant:* — the last selected participant identifier in local storage, with no fixed browser expiry. flymidway:v1:organizer:* may remain only from older versions and is removed after a confirmed exchange or terminal rejection.
- flymidway:variant-favorites:v1:*, flymidway:visa-preferences:v1:* and flymidway:table-horizontal-hint:v1 — favorites, visa-filter choices, and a one-time interface hint in local storage; no fixed browser expiry, removable through meetup deletion where applicable or by clearing site data.
- flymidway_measurement_v1 — your global choice of automatic, metric, or imperial units; a first-party cookie lasting 12 months.
- flymidway:v1:participant-recovery:* — a one-time recovery handoff in session storage; removed after it is displayed or when the browser tab session ends.
Retention and withdrawal
You may change or withdraw optional permission at any time. FlyMidway immediately stops future optional loading; a page refresh removes already loaded integrations from the current page.
External booking sites
After you knowingly open a partner booking link, the destination provider applies its own privacy and cookie rules and may store its own attribution identifier. FlyMidway labels these links and does not treat opening them as permission for Drive on FlyMidway.
