Data sources and licences
FlyMidway combines external data with its own calculations to explain travel options. This page identifies the sources that require attribution and describes how we modify their data.
Open-Meteo
Open-Meteo supplies weather forecasts and sea-temperature data. FlyMidway selects trip dates and coordinates, aggregates values into ranges, converts units, and derives explanatory weather and beach scores.

GeoNames supplies localized place names used to enrich the airport catalog. FlyMidway matches them to Travelpayouts cities and airports, reviews ambiguous mappings, applies selected corrections, and may normalize labels for the interface. When a localized name is unavailable, we display the canonical provider name rather than inventing a translation.
GeoNamesmodified by FlyMidwayCC BY 4.0How FlyMidway changes the data
FlyMidway caches provider responses, combines observations, converts units, localizes labels, and calculates summaries and scores. These processed outputs are not official statements by Open-Meteo or GeoNames, and neither provider endorses FlyMidway.
Accuracy and updates
Weather and place-name data can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Forecasts and derived scores are indicative; verify important travel decisions with the relevant provider or an official source. FlyMidway periodically refreshes source data and shows the update time where available.
